FAQs
What is the process for retaining CTG and/or one of CTG consultants?
Chances are we'll have an initial generic
discussion and then need to ensure we have confidentiality obligations
in place. We can send you our CDA but are also
happy to work with your CDA.
From there we will (1) work together to define a scope of services that
matches your needs with our expertise, (2) agree on the appropriate
rates or
project fee and then (3) negotiate and sign the services agreement
incorporating the confidentiality obligations, scope of services, and
fee structure.
Your contract will be with CTG Consulting, Co - the parent company of the Cell Therapy Group.
How are projects managed?
You will be assigned a project manager who is almost always also your
primary consultant. CTG Managing Director, Lee Buckler, will also be
responsible for contractual issues as well as ongoing project support
and service issues.
How do I ensure the
confidentiality of my information when you are working with so many
different companies in the cell therapy sector, some of whom may be
competitors?
Protecting the confidentiality of client information is critical to our
success. The moment we begin to breach such confidence, our business
will fail. It is perfectly feasible to protect confidential
information between clients and particularly among competitors.
Clients don't expect us to divulge others' secrets in the provision of
our services and there is always a clear line between expertise and
experience on the one hand and protected information and data on the
other. Beyond that, it's trust and legal rights.
Will you sign an exclusive retainer that prevents you from working for a competitor for a certain period of time?
While all things legal are for sale, you likely don't want to pay the
price of exclusivity because it would mean you have to compensate us
for the value of lost opportunity we might make from your competitors -
which means paying us several times the value of your services
contract. Your primary concern is likely confidentiality and we hope
we've addressed that concern above.
What are your rates?
We have hourly, daily, and monthly retainer rates that are very
competitive with other consultants in the sector. We are also open to
negotiating project fees based on a defined scope of services and
deliverables.
RegenMed?
"RegenMed" is an abbreviation for Regenerative Medicine. Regenerative
Medicine is often used rather synonymously with Cell Therapy. We
define RegenMed as therapeutics which regenerate cells, tissues, and
organs
- typically in vivo - often with something like a small
molecule or acellular matrix. Cell therapies, on the other hand, are
therapeutics which incorporate live cells as part of the therapy -
typically ex vivo. Some people distinguish cell therapies from Tissue Engineering (TE). For this site, we include TE as a cell therapy.
